Meet Hannah! She is a 3 year old, 44 lb, Australian Cattle Dog/Labrador Retriever mix. She came to Humane Tomorrow from an extremely neglectful background, so she had both physical & trust issues. After lots of TLC from HT volunteers, our vet & foster mom, Hannah is now beautiful & healthy, and her personality has blossomed too. Foster mom says that Hannah is always happy to see her when she returns home and wags her entire body to show it. Hannah gets along with the dog in her foster home, but her new found enthusiasm for life may annoy older dogs. Hannah would make a great only dog, so she could get all of the attention. Once she bonds to her person, she has a tendency to become possessive of that person. She never knew people could be nice before! She is still a little skittish if she gets outside her comfort zone. She loves to go on walks, but she startles at road noises and other dogs barking. Hannah is a smart girl and has learned many things, but she is still trying to learn not to jump on people when she meets them. It's probably best if she goes to a home with older or no kids. Hannah is not particularly playful and much prefers to just hang out with her people. Hannah will not tolerate being crated. She has broken out of several sizes and types. She has great house manners, and can be left with run of the house. Hannah may be a little slow to warm up to a new home, so she needs adopters who will be patient with her and let her settle in at her own pace. Once Hannah knows she is safe & secure, she will be a loyal and loving companion.
